San Jacinto State Park to Idyllwild

This hike is rated as hard by Alltrails. We will take the Tram up to the Mount San Jacinto State Park and hike to the Suicide Rock Trailhead in Idyllwild.  Bring plenty of water, lunch, and snacks.

This hike is NOT for beginners or casual hikers.  The hike is 1,410 ft elevation gain and 10.6 miles long.  The estimated time for this hike is 7 hours.

We will meet at 7 am at the Lakeview parking lot if you are in Sun City or at 7:45 at the Tram. We want to take the 8 am tram up the mountain!

If you are thinking of going on this hike please contact the Hike leaders, Kevin Rivette of Tim Stigers as you will need to have return transportation from the Idyllwild.  Transportation from the destination trailhead is not provided.
