Cahuilla Tewanet
This is a SACRED DESTINATION OF THE NATIVE AMERICAN CAHUILLA INDIANS DURING THE WARM SUMMER MONTHS. It is approxiamtely 4000′ above sea level. During the late Springs & Summer the Cahuilla would leave the valley floor to collect food and avoid the heat in the Chaparral area of the Santa Rosa Mountains. We will talk about the Cahuilla History, Flora, Fauna, and geoloegy of the area.
