Temecula Trip Day One
Welcome to the Hiking Club’s March 16-18 Temecula Trip
ALL HIKES on this trip will begin at the Visitor Center of the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve, 39400 Clinton Keith Rd., Murrieta, which is 10-15 miles NW of Old Town Temecula (approximately 20-30 min. drive). The Reserve offers over 9000 acres of protected habitat, featuring hiking trails, scenic views, vernal pools, and historic adobes. Hikers need to be at the Reserve’s Visitor Center parking lot and be ready to hike at the listed hike start time.
Today’s Granite Loop hike will give us our first glimpse of the Reserve. It is a short and sweet EASY HIKE of 1.1 miles. There is a daily entrance fee of $6 CASH per person.
